So if he was a nag then It wouldnt matter how they treat him?

thanks hunnii ive read ur posts b4 n ur yard sounds a lovely friendly place to be but its just a little far away from me, but thanks for ur help.
gemima i think u took that the wrong way all im sayin is im used to been on yards where theres 30-40 horses n there treated more like numbers not individuals if u know what i mean, but as i do compete i want somewhere where people wont think im slightly crackers for turning out in boots n rugs all year round n wearing stable bandages n hoods all year round. as this is the 1st time ive posted on here i dont want to offend any1 just trying to get help from like minded people so im sorry if my comment caused any offence

Smeltings Farm would be a good one to consider for all your needs. In fact, I'm keen to visit and have a go on the Equisimulator.

Gemima, just because we only have scabby ponies, doesn't mean you have to be quite so touchy.

I'm sure jii8nne didn't mean to offend. Its just sometimes when you are so involved with the show circuit and have shelled out a small fortune on entrance fees and "planned your campain" it is gutting to lose it all over an injury, just before a show.
I don't compete anymore and my lads live "au natural", no shoes, basic rugs, no clipping etc but I get the sentiment. Its also the time and hard work invested to get to the level that jii8nne is obviously interested in and enjoys. It doesn't make any horse any less important. Just some are naturally more "accident prone" / less acceptable to have "war wounds" etc.
Sorry I don't know of any yards round here but I have seen Hunnii's yard and it is a lovely friendly relaxed yard and if I had to put mine into stables, and was close enough I certainly would consider it. (If they'd have my nutters : )

That’s not really helping ajaj1. I understand what you’re both saying but sometimes the wording can make them sound like commodities which is probably what ticked Gemima off in the first place. We’re probably what “some” competitive people refer to as tree-huggers, but I’m sure neither of you would think that.

Nah, she’ll understand, I’m offering the hand of friendship. Hey, you used to compete and we still talk to you!
Good luck with the enquiry at Smeltings j118nne. I don’t know the place at all, but I have a lot of respect for Heather Moffett and I’m certain she would not be associated with a place that were negligent or unkind. See, there is one lovely lady who moves in highly competitive equestrian circles, whilst also putting the horse first.
Are we all still friends?

im not very good wi words n certainly dont think any1 is a tree hugger hehe
ur last statement is exactly what im looking for some1 who puts the horse first, ive seen it myself in the showing world where horses become machines n money making schemes rather than pets, n i am an amature n do it as a hobby n my horse is my world just like im sure most other peoples are n all i want is the best for him as we all do our babys
