Hurricane season for Mexico is the same as it is for the Atlantic in general which runs from June 1 through November 30. The hurricanes typically form off the coast of Africa and, providing they do not die out at sea, can make landfall anywhere along the east coast of the US or travel into the Gulf of Mexico (like Hurricane Katrina) and make landfall on the southern US coast, Mexico, Cuba or any of the Caribbean Islands.

Mexico is also at risk of tropical cyclones that form in the Pacific.
Very true.....guess I was just thinking about if from my side of the country but the west coast of Mexico is also in the line of fire for tropical cyclones and the season is the same as for the east coast....June 1 through November 30.
big for earthquakes too. They can have some real shakers. Mexico city is one of those places where the soil is quite damp, so the buildings can literally sink into the ground during the quake, causing liquefaction, where water comes up from below.
