Afro Caribbean Hairdressers -

Sorry if someone has already started a thread about this but

my sister and & are trying to find a hairdresser that is qualified and experienced at afro-caribbean hair. Can anyone reccommend someone and please tell us WHY you are recommending them. There are a small minority of hairdressers that cater for afro hair in Sheffield, but these tend to be the high-class hairdressers. Thank you

Hiya

Dunno what area you are in or even if you are bothered about travelling. There is a fantastic Afro Carribean Hairdressers on Hatfield House Lane. It's called "Salls Cut N Weave and it's the only place i trust to do my Daughters hair! And is very reasonable. You have to make an appointment as she has young children, so think most of the time she will only go to the salon if she has appointments!! Heres a link to the website, theres a 10% discount voucher to print off as well. (some of the links are not working on the site, but the voucher is) She's very good, very friendly and gives great advice. Here are the contact details.

but my sister and I are actually thinking of going out of Sheffield to find a good hairdressers. We thought about going to Leeds, Nottingham, Wakefield or even Huddersfield. Can you please let me know why you are recommending this company to me.

There is a hairdresser at Beighton Lifestyle Centre tel 2132160 (near Crystal peaks) called Edwina. I know she does chemical straightening and has a great reputation. My friends wife is nigerian and uses her all the time.

ive been to afrocentric just for a conditioning treatment and wouldnt recommend it. dont know how much you want to spend but nicky oliver in manchester is great. dont be put off by the ultra-modern styles on their website tho!

I'll second that, Sal is amazing! i regualarly have a weave done by her and wouldn't go anywhere else!

if you're students, tell her when you call and you get better discount! =] x
