An Afghan family living in a £1.2million home paid for by the taxpayer admitted yesterday they felt as if they had won the lottery.
Mother-of-seven Toorpakai Saiedi, 35, receives £170,000 a year in benefits.
A staggering £150,000 of that is paid to a private landlord for the rent of a seven-bedroom house in West London.
Another case of bloody immigrants being looked after in comparative luxury, whilst 100s of 1000s of pensioners worry about heating or eating, and millions of families can look forward to job insecurity, mortgage payments, and worrying about how to pay for christmas, its time to stop this blatant misuse of public money, and send these scroungers back.

Read your post on the other thread, and feel that this deserves a thread of its own, as many posters probably wouldnt look too much into a thread regarding the B of E base rate.

the council is paying £ 12.450 a month for the rent, thats five times more than for a similar property in the same area,it's been a topic on radio talk sport tonight, the owner walked into the council office and asked how much they were prepared to pay, they, the council came up with the figure, no checking,no haggling just offered the twelve thousand plus per month, i wonder if the man at the office was a friend of the owner ?
when i worked for the c a b years ago sheffield's rent ceiling was set at £ 54, anything more and the renter had to pay it out of their own pocket, it has gone up a little now i suppose, but £ 12000 plus a month is way out of line,as for the other benefits,i suppose she gets what is standard practice, once again it's the rich getting richer off the unemployed housing market

Just out of interest, do they seem embarrased at how they live compares to most Brits?
No, they are bloody grinning all over their arrogant faces.
Still, never mind eh?

It seems they are still not happy.
Jawad, a student who admits he spends most of his time driving around in cars and playing snooker, said: 'We are very lucky to live here, maybe the council made a mistake. It is a lot of money to pay and the landlord is the one who is really lucky. He must be getting rich.'
He added: 'The property had been refurbished before we arrived, but there were certain aspects that I was not happy with so I phone up the council and it sent people to fix the drive and clean up the garden.'
He added: 'We do like living here. But my mum has said she is not happy because the house is so big and she doesn't like cleaning. It is much smaller than our house in Afghanistan.
'Some of the rooms in England we would not even put our chickens in because they are so small.'

It's a disgrace. She has to bring up 7 children(some who have beards) on only £20,000 a year!

I bet she thought she had one the lottery
What about the unemployed in this country does the same apply for the them. How can she be a scrounger if her & her family are homeless.

This is what happens when a landlord knows exactly how much is the maximum the council will pay for a property - the rent he charges is, by a mysterious and unfathomable coincidence, exactly that much, despite the average for that sort of property being less than half what he's charging.

It does look as though they are working the system. Unfortunately there is no way of making a system that can't be worked. You can only make it less easy for people to work it.

It looks more like a case of greedy landlord and stupid local council rather than "bloody immigrants being looked after in comparative luxury" - is 20KPA to look after a family of 7 (and pay bills for a 7 bedroom house) in London really that luxurious?
Of course I don't expect you to expect any sort of rationality when you can have a good racist froth

Im sorry but this kind of thing begins to annoy me now. At first I was happy for our country to help others in need but now it is just becoming a joke. We have English people here who struggle to live off benefits with 3-4 kids a 2 bed house on an estate they would rather not be, just to get by. When there is people coming into our country and getting everything for nothing. No wonder all the friends and family are coming over aswell. What exactly does our country do for the people that was actually born here and actually speak English and are actually English??
BUT we do have to think, we dont know the full story.
