I do - if i happen to drop a tasty morsel whilst cooking I'll think nothing of just picking it up and popping it in my mouth - like wise from the living room carpet. It's my view that neither of these happening is likely to cause me to come to any harm - generally speaking I think many people nowadays are far too scared about germs.
I go have my limits mind, I wouldn't eat stuff off the street.
What do you think, what do you do?

Just depends what it is - a baked bean - no. A juicy BBQ rib hell yeah!
I vaccuum about 5 times a day anyway!

I follow the three second rule.
If it's been on the floor less than 3 seconds - eat it. It doesn't apply to the street though!

Yes as long as its something fairly dry, and I don`t vacuum 5 times a day. Would I put it on a guests plate, no definitely not. I am so fussy when cooking for guests, everything has to be perfect, or as near as I can get.

I wouldn't. I have pets. I dread to think what's lurking on my floor no matter how recently it's been cleaned.
Sounds awful but I knew a family who did eat off the floor, and I don't mean food they'd dropped

So, Shanazz - why not? Do you think it'll make you ill or is it just the idea of it that you think is 'off'?

I've seen my brother do it. He has taken things off the carpet which my mother's cats spend most of their lives walking on, sitting on, being sick on etc.
On the other hand, it didn't seem to do him any harm.

Absolutely. Challenge that immune system!
Trouble is, if anything vaguely squishy is dropped on the floor here, it tends to attract an aura of cat hair. Furry chips are not pleasant.
