I've noticed for a while now that this "Remember me?" tick box is selected by default at the LOGIN page.

In the interests of privacy and security, surely it would make more sense to have the check box UNTICKED by default as I imagine it is overlooked by many users.

I think that this is a good idea, particularly to protect personal data on shared or public computers.

The idea's not bad, but I'm too lazy to have to remember my password every time I need to log into the forum, especially seeing as I've recently changed to a more secure password having been hacked again recently.

Sorry, maybe my topic heading was misleading.
I was only suggesting it could be unticked by default, not disabled.
The box could still be available for selection, if you're happy with the security of your computer set-up.

Also Rich, in my opinion, it's better to type all your passwords anyway, then you're more likely to remember them.....

This now defaults to not remembering, changing from previous forum options.
