Veolia charge £31 to collect and dispose of bulky items.

Does anyone know if this is per item or per visit?

I have two items which at some point will need disposing of. If its per visit then I can plan around getting rid of both of them at the same time.

I'm sure you know about this but you can take big items to the tip yourself and it's free.

This has reminded me, I was on the bus the other day and on one of the roads between ringinglow and ecclesall road south all the houses had piled up big stuff that was obviously going to be collected, but I've never heard of this happening around me and have no idea who was doing it. It must have been a big council thing unless spookily everyone had decided to have a clearout on the same day!

The council have regular bring out your rubbish days, in various parts of the city where all large unwanted stuff can be left out on the kerbside for collection free of charge.
