Bellhouse road, 9:30 pm 24th sep

Hi,
My friend drove up Bellhouse road, Shiregreen last night (24th) at about 9:30, and said there was a riot van, police cars and ambulances outside the Jade House chinese takeaway.
Anyone know what was going on?

There was a road accident, a 15 year old joy rider came fast round the corner lost control, hit a car and then veered into a parked car outside Jade house got out and ran away leaving his car half way across the road.

Cars were a mess but no one seemed hurt, police gave chase and caught the lad

I was in the park walking the dogs and heard the bangs, my OH was in Jade house.

Thanks for that. Glad the police caught him. Would also say glad he was'nt hurt but I'd be lying!!

Was it a red Vauxhall Astra by any chance, my mate was Knocked off his scooter on Newman road on Wednesday Night by a hit and run driver

I don't know the type of car sorry I'm not very good with cars, but it was a small red car so sounds like it might have been the one, hope your mate was ok? I hope he reported it as they did catch the Lad that did it.

thanks yes he is OK just stiff all over
the police attended the accident you would hope they can put 2 and 2 together and look at both incidents to see if there is a link but I will let my mate know.

I wonder about the jinxed thing myself, when the cars banged I was actually struggling while my onlead dogs were being attacked by an off lead staffy, OH was ok nowt phases him...but I digress

Son had police again last night OMG the bus he was on again last night had rocks thrown at it again at Beck road, I see our buses being pulled at night soon!

No it wasn't my car

Don't even get me started on that I gave up on my other thread because it just became a disagreement about how good and useful the police are or aren't

I'm glad that your mate is mainly ok.

glad to hear you and OH are ok too it must have been right scarey being attacked by another dog while hearing all the comotion

He is getting really stressed out with all of the trouble on the road I'm a bit worried about him

Dogs are a nightmare round here I dread taking mine out at times.
