i have had an order with bt to fit a phone line, they failed to turn up and do it without informing me, so i called and was told i need to wait 4 working days call up cancell then call back and re order

after a bit of ranting i got put through to a line manager who agreed to get them to come out following day but would confirm time within 4 hours, no phone call came, rang back and on automated system told there was now no order.

after dealing with so many unhelpful and un organised people wondered if there was any other provider that can put in a phone line?

cheers

Keep perstering BT!!!!

You are entitled to compensation now which I believe works out as 1 months line rental per day.

You could always ring 150 from a payphone. That way it won't cost you.

Your only other option for a phone would be Virgin Media if you live in a cabled area

There is but you need a working BT line, so either way you would need BT to come out

You could always try e-mailing a few choice words to:-

ian.livingston@bt.com

He's BT's Chief Executive.

BT has a code of practice but sadly the link on their website doesn't work which speaks volumes!

BT also have an online complaints form here:-

http://bt.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/bt.cf...770&p_cats=770

Good luck.

Laura, this is taken from BT's web site;
It lists an 0800 number which will be free from a phone box or a friends BT land line.
Remember it's not free from your mobile
Personally I'd put it in writing too.

This code of practice link should work
