I am looking for a recording of the `Yorkshire Television March` as played daily during the mid to late 70's at around 08:30 when the station started it's transmissions for the day (before 24h TV)

The passage, (about 8 minutes long), was co-written with Ron Goodwin but was never released. I have searched hi and low on the regional tv web pages and websites but have not been able to track it down

If anyone has an old recording off the TV of this music please respond and I can arrange we get in touch.

Thanks

Mark, Sheffield, 46yrs

YTV's first startup tune was the striking Yorkshire Television March, written by Derek New and arranged by Ron Goodwin; this was changed in 1982 for the Yorkshire Theme written by Chris Gunning. No sign of this anywhere on the net at all, which is odd as most of the other ITV themes can be found.....

I hope you find it. I was always impressed with the things YTV did back then. Does anyone remember the opening credits to 3-2-1 with the YTV logo flying into the sky?
