hi i got into a drunken arguement with a mate and he said penguins had kneecaps i disagreed any help?

THEY DO indeed. They also have patellas, or kneecaps. It's just that we can't see them for the feathers. For more on penguin knees (and on other arcane questions), try David Feldman's "Do penguins have knees?: an Imponderables book" (Harper Collins, 1991).
