Its with great saddness that ive been reading all the threads on the forum about all the tracks that have gone and anger aimed at people that want to ride 'motor cross bikes'
To all the ill informed people that have commented on all the threads there are 2 types of people on the forum that want to ride bikes 'off road'
1. the sane, safe, law abiders who buy a bike and really dont want to upset anyone but would like to take there off road bike to a 'legal' place and ride it without breaking the law or spoiling anyones sunday.
2. little scroats who nick a bike and ride on roads, foot paths, trying to be hard, causeing chaos.
there are plenty of types 1 and 2 in all aspects of life.
When off roaders have posted threads asking for sites to ride there have been tirades of people slagging them off saying' if the council paid for a track it would cost more poll tax why should we pay for your hobby?'
Quite true, but ive never played tennis in a park (funded by the council) or played crown green bowls (greens funded by council) or asked for a stoopid stainles fountain by the train station, so why should I pay for other peoples plesure?
all we ask is for a piece of land to ride in peace without fear of prosicution its not much to ask for really is it? and it may keep a few good kids from doin things they shouldnt.
