Apparently they've done that because of customer feedback, and there's a thread on the forum (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=179901) discussing whether or not popcorn should be banned - from 2007 - but what do you think about this? Would you go to the cinema knowing there won't be any popcorn?
Cinemas make all their money out of popcorn, how are they going to make money if they BAN it? Won't they have to raise prices? Would you pay more to not be in a popcorn infested room?!
What do the Sheffield cinemas think about this? Would Cineworld consider having popcorn free screenings?

I hate popcorn, so it doesnt affect me in that way. However I think the cinema is expensive enough and if they raised prices I'd never get to go. Which is the same for a lot of people I guess.
I do take sweets into the cinema though! not ones that have to be unwrapped though, I don't disturb people with noisy rustling!
