In response to a request, I am starting up a new thread to let you all know what is happening in schools with effect from September.
There is so much info which is posted in the disability section thread as originally it was just the needs of special needs children that was affected. However, after a meeting last night in which about 40 people attended, we realised that all children will be affected by these changes.
We decided that we shall try to form an alliance called The Autism Alliance, so any one who wants to get involved please let me know.
As there is so much to post again, please can you read the posts under the sections of special needs and autism as I cannot possibly type up all the details due to its complexity.
If the mods can help here, please do so.

Thanks

I can sort all that out, but before I do, could you give us some basic info about how any changes will affect all kids, and not just statemented kids, or others with special needs?

Well, heres the scenario
teachers are not at the moment given particular intensive training on autism, but SENCOs are.
However, when a statemented child has used up all their allocated time, i.e. 3 full terms, in other words a max of 1 year, then they will be without a statement, in my understanding.the teacher of possibly 30 kids? will then have to cope with the teaching of the statemented child and of course that will affect the quality of the teaching of all the other non statemented kids.

Of course, if teachers were fully trained, that would be different.

Click on "Go Advanced" and then you'll see a 2-tier load of icons directly above the text box. Go to the 8th icon in from the left hand side of the screen which is the icon to setup the coding which creates a weblink. When you click on that link it opens another text box where you enter in the link to the webpage you want to link to.

Therefore before you start to create the weblink you need to go to the page you want to link to, go to the address bar, copy that address, return to the page you want to link from and enter the weblink address in to the weblink text box.
