Firefox won't/can't connect using the shared internet connection. On the PC that uses the other as a gateway IE connects fine but Firefox just comes up with 'Server not found'

Does Firefox have to be set up manually to connect via a LAN ? Can't see anything relevant in the help files.

WinXP SP2 and Firefox v 2.....15 (latest).

Tools > Options > Advanced, Network tab and then the settings buton. configure your proxy details there.

Do I have to set these manually ?

Both IE and FF worked for a while with the proxy settings set to auto-detect, now neither will load web pages.

I'm using Devolo plugs for the Network and it's working fine on both PCs according to Status in Networking.
