The theme for July is 'decay'.

If you wish to submit an entry for the July competition you must register at http://gallery.sunset-studio.co.uk/. Once registered, head to the July Photo Competition album http://gallery.sunset-studio.co.uk/v/Jul08/. Open the side bar, and 'add items'.

Please only upload one image per month.

Submissions are anonymous to other members, and the only person who can see the members name is myself. Images are automatically resized to 600x600px in order to ensure a fair playing field, and to protect the copyright of your images.

Submissions must be made by the last day of the month. On the first day of the following month a poll will be opened in the Sheffield Photography forum, and will remain open until 14th to allow two weeks of voting. In the event of more than 25 submissions, a system of heats & a final will be used to decide the winner.

All work must be your own, but any member of the Sheffield Forum may enter. We encourage everybody to have a go, and you don't need professional or DSLR equipment to be in with a chance. It's all in the moment.

If anybody wants to submit their image and is having problems with the site, please just email it to me by Wed 23rd at 12pm:

zxgr3@hook85.co.uk

I'll then stick it on the gallery..

Good luck!

Just an informal friendly photographic competition for forum members.
Just register on the gallery Hook links to, upload a photo of yours that represents this months theme (Decay for July) and wait for the voting to start. Easy

The Holy Island Boat Huts piccy in the compo is at an unusual angle. Or do I have a crick in my neck?

The first image looks familiar. It reminds me of the old Loxley driving range on Long Lane. I used to pass that every day on the way to school. I remember it burning down too.

I didn't take that photo but i know where it was taken, so hard lines you're nearly thirty miles out

I am off to NZ on Thursday, so if anybody has more than one entry and doesn't ask me to leave one, they will all be removed from the poll.

If you wish to submit a photo via email, you must do so by lunchtime Wednesday otherwise it'll still be sat in my email when I get back in August!

Anybody know why half of the entries have disappeared from July's competition. I only posted one pic, it was there for a couple of days and now and it's gone - along with lots of others.

No worries - sometimes the gallery does a backup and I think during those moments the photos might not always appear...

Cheers

Last day to enter - well - maybe... I'm a bit busy this weekend so apologies in advance if the poll is a little late getting started this month.
