Last week I had the saga of Joshs enzymes costing double from the vet than what I can get them for on the internet,£22 on internet including postage and £49.50 from vet, who say they get them for £35 from the chemist, a good mark up then, as the chemist is about 100 yds away!
Anyway I emailed More than to see if I could be reimbursed if I got them off the internet, they phoned me today to say YES, which is good as its saving them cash and keeping the total spent on Joshs insurance down leaving more cash for later life...
Just got to tell the vet
More than say I dont even need to send a claim form in, just a covering letter with the receipts as long has the dog has been diagnosed with the complaint and needs them.

fingers crossed you don't get into a wrangle over prescription issues - but that's great news!

Don't forget there's lots of meds you can just buy over the counter in people format which is often cheaper than the pet packaged version

Do you need a prescription, will the vet charge for it, is against the law to charge for a prescription but our vet would not budge.

Fortunately I dont need a prescription for enzymes, they are not classed as a drug but as a digestive aid, but they mean the difference between life and death, without them Josh would starve. Dont think the vet will be too happy though, he needs 100 capsules to last him 25 days so the vet would have been making £15 a time for doing bugger all!
