This is a bit sad I know but has anyone got an Ericson t610 mobile phone and is it alright...? I am being ripped off by t-mobile with an out of date contract and can get a good deal on one of these but have not ever used one..... as long as its not really slow I should be easy to please.. please don't start recommending other phones as my brain is all shrivelled like a really old raisin and I may start to develop a twitch....
I used to have one until i lost a few weeks ago,and yes i can highly recommend them.High quailty screen and sounds, easy to use and very compact, all in all a brilliant phone,oh how i miss it!
Luckily for me though i should be getting another one in a couple weeks!!
Hope that helps!!

I've got one - great phone apart from one thing....the display is really hard to see in bright light - sunny days are a nightmare.
Apart from that it's a very nice phone, especially if you want to use bluetooth. I write sms's on my pda and send them via the phone which is much less fiddly than tapping them in on the phone keypad. (yes, I do display a worrying level of geekism )
T Mobile are right robbing dogs!!!
I had a 3310 on PAYG with them and I was being robbed alive! Calls were unbelievably expensive, texts were 10p (which is the going rate I know, but if you text as much as I text...)
I also had a problem....My phone kept sending blank texts and charging me for them!!! I complained to T-Mobile, but as I hadn't registered with the site they said they couldn't deal with it. So I attempted to sign up and got a nice little message saying it wasn't suitable for me to sign up with my account. (God knows what that meant, but I took it as an expletive... ) So I emailed them and told them I wasn't paying for texts that were blank and got told it wasn't their problem, they weren't going to give me any free credit to make it up and that I should contact other networks such as o2 and ask why!!!
Stooopid or what?!?!?!?
Needless to say I got rid of that phone and got one on o2 contract...

yeah i agree, thats the only fault i could find with it,but it more than makes up for it with its other features.
The cameras pretty good, but its only any use in well lit places, but a suppose that applies to most camera-phones.

You must be just unlucky mate, I've never had the blank texts thing and never had any other problems, they are also the second cheapest tariff I've ever been on after Virgin Mobile, but I don't think you can get the Sony Ericsson T300 on Virgin PAYG, or contract for that matter.

From what I hear, the blank text's problem is a known issue with t-mobile.
Anyway, back ontopic:
The S-E T610 is an excellent phone, easily one of the best on the market at the moment.
I have been on T-Mobile for a lot of years and have NEVER had a problem.
I actually find them to give the 'second' best network coverage in the UK. Seconded only by Orange.
So I would argue that T-Mobile ARE NOT known to be the worst mobile network at all. This is just heresay. Don't knock what you haven't tried as far as mobile companies go.
I used to be on OneToOne a few years ago, excellent service but there coverage sucked big time, went on to Vodafone and i've been with them ever since.Though saying that a mate of mine is on a T-Mobile contract phone at the mo and he's very happy with it,there coverage seams to have improved a lot since i had one.
while T-mobile might have decent coverage here, try using them in cornwall or wales (known Mobile crapspots) or N-E Derbyshire, which is good for most of the others and not T-Mobile.
Mobiles are for use elsewhere, hence the name "mobile" and not "static in one city-ile"

Well having tried ALL networks and having lived in the South East, worked in the South West and used my mobile all over Scotland, majority of Wales and abroad. I can say hand on heart that they are an excellent network.
I don't go by everything I read RPG on newsgroups... if we all did that, we'd all be on the same network using the same tariffs.
I like to try all and decide for myself. The decision I've made is that T-Mobile are a good network with a reputation that is unfair.
Of course they may have blackspots... as do most networks.
While I was on O2 and Vodafone I had nothing but trouble in certain areas of Sheffield. O2 used to have a bad habit of not delivering text messages right away. It sometimes took me a good few days to receive a text. So that to me was very poor.
Vodafone used to drop signal at the most obscure places. I remember being on the phone in town, and walked round a corner and the signal just went. 200 yrds further up it was back. Same place everytime I went there... pathetic. But like I say all networks have problems.
PS I used to sell mobiles so I know the coverages in the UK
