Was down in London to visit our London office (and also to do a bit of shopping!) and went to Selfridges. At the big Alessi shop on the lower ground floor they are selling Alessi dinnerware seconds. The savings are incredible; for example I got 6 dinner plates that should have cost £35 each for just £6.40 each!
If you're down there soon you might like to check it out.
Edit: Sorry forgot to put that all the dinnerware is made of that extremely hard German porcelain that you find on all Villeroy & Boch products.
I like wines that cut through my palate. Some wines spread outwards. They fool you. Those are modern wines. You taste them, and three minutes later, you say: "Not bad, but there's no depth." When I taste a wine, I like it to cut through my palate.
