I wonder how much we pay out in electricity and wear and tear of our tv.s for companies to advertise .Bit of a cheek really we fork out for other people to advertise THEIR goods.

Turn it off then. No-one forces you watch advertisements.

Your bill is counted on your usage, if you don't use you don't get charged.

It's not rocket science.

Money saving tip; You can save money and aggravation by draping a thick cloth over the television during commercial breaks.

The advertising pays for the progams to be made in the first place.

But what about the Domino's pizza adverts currently sponsoring Britain's Got Talent?

Has anyone ever seen a Domino's pizza ad and thought 'Ooh, that looks delicious; shall we order one?'

Or are you like me and think that it looks like one of the worst pizzas ever made and is enough to put you off the stuff forever?

Don't think I'd feed one to my dog - not that I've got one...

Any reason to be so nasty.I believe I was making an observation not opening myself up for abuse from someone hiding behind a 'user' name.

My bold

"Abuse"??? If you think that sensible advice constitutes abuse, you must be far too fragile a little flower to survive for long on SF.

I tend to record everything I watch, so I can just fast forward through the ads - not to save money, but just because they annoy me so much.

Agree they look boring, bland and pretty nasty on the adverts so god knows what they would look like in real.
