We're installing a wireless burglar alarm in our house and need to attach the siren box to the outside of the wall by drilling into the brick and putting in some plugs. We probably won't have to drill in very far but I was just wondering if anyone knows of anything we should be careful of when doing this? Presumably it's not too difficult but I just don't want to damage any pipes etc. or risk the brick breaking. Any tips?

if your scared of going into the brick too far, wrap some tape round the drill bit so that it matches the length of the plug/screw.
