Ok im looking for some people, that are in the same boat as me. all my mates are either married with kids or going away with thier girlfiends this summer and ive got no-one to go on holiday with. I dont know alot of people in sheffield as i went to uni here and stayed in sheff when most people left, who ive since lost touch with.

im looking for a few people who are in a similar situation (and roughly my age), who think it might be fun to go on holiday with a group of strangers rather than go alone. if a few people are interested in going to somewhere in the Mediterain on a fairly cheap holiday sometime this summer please post.

im male late 20s. but looking for anyone around this age males or females.

I admire your honesty, but perhaps it'd be better to expand your social scene in Sheffield first before thinking about going away on holiday with a bunch of strangers - imagine meeting someone at the airport for the first time, finding they're a complete arse and having to spend a fortnight in their company!

Why not come to one of the forum meets and see if you hit it off with some of the people there? Details of the next one are here.....

There are travel sites where you can pre-arrange meets abroad with like minded travellers. Have you considered that idea? Get to know people through those sort of sites and you will never be short of people to go away with/or meet up with whilst you are away.

Or go on a city break or something on your own? I did it a year ago and it was one of the best trips away I've ever had

It may not be a totally stupid idea. Try some sort of interest holiday, art, reading .. or if this doesn't float your boat, which at your age it probably won't ... rock climbing or hiking to Everst base camp ... you get my drift.

If the group is quite large you can avoid the plonkers; just make sure you book a single room so you have some where to retreat too.

Try holidaying alone, I did it and it was totally liberating Best not to go in high season though as single occupancy cripples the price.

try an 18-30's holiday - bound to meet people there, whether you want to or not
