I don't see what's scary about it. The only reason the nuclear deterrent works, and worked for fifty years, is because your potential enemies know that if they launch a nuclear attack, they are CERTAIN to die. Every last single one of them.

If Iran were foolish enough to launch a nuclear strike, then utter obliteration is the only course of action we can follow; be it by nuclear or conventional means.

It's a different matter when your dealing with a country ruled by religion though isn't it, especially the religion that specialises in suicide bombing.

The politicians who rule the country (whichever religious-fanatic country we consider) may be red-hot on persuading OTHER people to commit suicide in pursuit of the cause, but there's no way in hell they will risk their own lives.
