My PMs are not giving me the warning message that normally pops up? Anyone else had this on it's own?

I don't think it's a system wide problem as I've just had a PM myself.
Have you tried clearing your internet cache in your browser? Also, is your PM Inbox full?
Let me know if you want me to send you a test message after checking the above.
Cheers
Joe

Kristian,
I've had that problem on occasion. The warning message only gets displayed at certain points in the refreshing of pages on the site. So you'll occasionally receive a PM but won't get teh warning until you get to one of these places in the site code that checks your inbox and posts the warning message.
Try going back to the main home page and CTRL-F5 to check your inbox.
Joe

Thanks for your advice Joe. I'd realised they always seemed to flash when performing a search (view new posts etc), but sometimes it doesn't do it even then. I use Firefox, and it seems to not flash up if I have more than one tab open with a forum page on it? I was wondering if this could be the cause, but having only just upgraded to a PC from an abacus, I'm not the best person to say!

Haven't tried Firefox but looking at how the vBulletin code runs I could imagine that the tabbing might have an impact in that browser.
Sorry can't be more helpful!
