He was a pro wrestler/wrestling commentator under the nickname "The Body" but then got involved in independant politics and became the Governor of Minnesota for several years, he now lives in a solar powered house in rural Mexico and has a new book out called "Don't start the revolution without me", he says he is a libertarian.

Theres plenty of clips of him here: http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...a&search_type=

I think he's a good bloke, he clearly has the interests of the American people at heart, what do you think?

Like his views, but from what I've seen of him on youtube he doesn't seem too bright. Uses a lot of soundbytes etc.
A good US presidential candidate maybe

I doubt it. He only stood down as governor because he knew he wouldn't get re-elected.

of course Clinton, like Nixon before him, lost a gubernatorial election for his state, Arkansas, too. But he just ran again the next time, and this time, he beat the guy that beat him.

Ventura was never Presidential material.

I wasn't serious. Besides he doesn't have establishment backing like the current "big three".

Obama didn't have any 'establishment backing'. What he got, he had to earn.
