I would love to!
I have only ever ridden a horse once and it was funny and very painful afterwards!!

I started taking lessons last year but I'm afraid to say it was another of those good intentions with which the path to hell is paved.

A few years ago my sister used to ride horses on what is now The Ponderosa. I think she goes to a place near Ecclesfield occasionally now.

I grew up with riding horses for fun and my partner grew up on a ranch in Canada... Oakhaven Ranch.
Lots of fun but unfortunately haven't had a chance to continue riding out here.

I do believe that riding a horse is cruel. Horses never asked to be ridden.
If God had meant horses to be abused in this awful manner, we would have all been born with one stuck firmly between our legs.

I've never considered the idea of horseriding as animal cruelty, intresting. Im not sure about the idea of one stuck between our legs. would make certain activities very difficult.

I used to ride frequently untill I was about 16 then it gradually dwindled to every few months then down to once in a blue moon,
Theres a lovley stables at wortley but I cant remember for the life of me what its called, I also used to go up to barnes green at greno years ago. Havent been for a while now as I like to have a ride with a little spirit to it, not one of the plodding sheep you tend to get at riding stables. I dont think riding is cruel If a horse is given the respectfull treatment that such a noble crature deserves then the ride can be truly enjoyable for both horse and rider. Everyone has a dream for the future, mine is to be happy and own my own horse

Horses are beautiful animals. I've ridden a few times when I was much younger. Would love to do so again someday,

The best riding school around here was Lady booth at Edale but unfortunately it has closed due to a death in the family - I went many times and the routes for the trecks was unbeatable - all round the peaks over Jaggers Clough and Winn Hill with a gallop/canter on the ridges - amazing!!! I will nevere forget those times with the blues sky and wind in my hair
I would suggest Low Ash in Bradfield - its near to me and seems a reliable place
When I have the time and money I will own my own horse - can't wait!!!
