We got one from eBuyer, bout 30 quid. A Netgear DSL one. Just your basic wireless router really, obviously it's got encryption etc.. not a bad piece of kit for the price, I've had great download speeds with it.

Got mine from Virgin Media. It is the Netgear MA111 but it may be a bit old now. Still works fine.

Any wireless broadband router with wireless will do, try and stick to a well known brand such as Netgear or Linksys.

Make sure you get a Broadband router and not an ADSL gateway/modem, tis a common mistake people make.

I recently got Virgin Media XL broadband and bought a Netgear wireless router, had nothing but problems with it. took it back and replaced it with a Belkin one which was almost half the price of the Netgear one. It works like a dream.

I had a small problem of it disconnecting from my PC every few seconds though but I rang the Belkin helpline which is open 24/7 (this was 10pm) and they talked me through what to do. It was in fact because I had set the channel to be on 'auto' instead of 11.

Works perfectly now! £30 from Currys.

My mate just gave me a Netgear WGR614 which should be fine for you too.

I bought a Belkin router a few years ago and my son was attempting to push in the reset button and it broke. We called into a shop to buy another one and the salesman was honest enough to point out the lifetime guarantee with Belkin routers.
Contacted Belkin sent off the faulty one and they sent us a replacement even though we only had a vague recollection of when and where we had bought the original.
Cannot fault Belkin's customer service.

I have had two Belkin surge protectors do their job brilliantly and Belkin replaced them FOC

i always used to use the linksys one before changing isp. they also have built in firewall good warrenty and good technical back up shoul u need it
