On my new Packard Bell pc, if I type an adress into the search bar at the top (not Google, actually in IE7), it will only search the Packard bell website, not the whole web. Does anyone know how I can alter this please?

I think you need to set your Search site.

Tools->Internet Options -> General tab -> Change Search Settings

That's not it - Google is set as my default there but the address bar won't use it.
