I have a flat which I might be moving into soon at the top of Hilltop Lane. I cannot find much info on the net, I know that its a quiet almost village-like community. So can anyone expand my knowledge of the area?

I went to school in Kimberworth. Like most places it has one or two dodgy streets/places you wouldn't want to go on a dark night, otherwise it's not too bad. The Hilltop area is one of the quieter parts so you should be okay. Some decent pubs in the area too

I moved here just over 2 years ago and I've never had any bother at all..
Everything is on your doorstep.. Town is a 5 min drive away, so is Meadowhell and the M1 if you need it..
Good pubs around here too..

If i was you, i would visit the area at different times of the day on different days and u will see what the area is like.
Are you could ring the area housing office up and explain you r new to the area could they tell u a bit about the road etc,
Kimberworth is a big council estate like any way else there is good n bad in all.

With it being perched on one of the biggest hills you have ever seen you could get some good views , my concerns would be noise from M1 and smell from Meadowbank if the wind is in the wrong direction.
