Yup such a shame that we lost the Dial House, but then the committee didn’t change or adapt to attract younger members so it died

but when they knocked the club buildings down im rather sure they wont have capped the drains,, must have been a massive system under that place

I thought they weren't allowed to knock down the pub? Yet their pretty apartment pictures don't seem to feature the pub building sat there! Personally I don't think they should have ever been allowed to build apartments there, they just won't fit in.

I think the pictures on the website just show the section to the right of the actual Dial House (which is listed), where the car park and bowling green are. One of the workmen told my neighbour that they were only doing the preliminary groundworks at this stage, until more funding came in... he thought it was all down to the credit crunch.

EDIT: Nope, I was wrong there! just had another look on the plans, the pretty picture is going to be at the left of the Dial House, that's going to be converted into 3 houses, and then a further block of apartments facing the road on the right hand side (although on the plans, the blowing green is still there?! Wonder if they'll reinstate it, or just make it into a grassed area?)

You really do show your ignorance with every thread you write. Come up Wisewood one night and tell me theres no Chav's !!
Just because there is a residential care home at Wisewood doesn't mean that the whole of the area suddenly becomes OAP's !!
