Hi freddy , yes it is one of the twins from grange Ehssan is the one with the broken nose.
RE: The other clubs, I can not comment. Every local club knows we had a show . Now you cant call yourself a kickboxing club and only put fighters out once or twice a year in my opinion. Local clubs need to be more active both at home and away.

Petes Right hand KO was the most perfect punch in the textbook.
PROOF that AFK teach good technique
Like i said before, I dont see those "other clubs" posting on this thread either J GHG , i wonder why

I know you teach good technique, i am trainining with you. lol. Also yousiff shows that off (see previous post on PROTEKS thread) along with other AFK fighters.
Perhaps Chef, to be fair other people may not have the knowledge to beable to comment on your threads, or even to teach that perfect KO

Well dont forget that most other instructors in sheffield are not kickboxers themselves and are still learning the sport as they teach (or in some cases promote) it.

The best thing about all of AFK shows especially this one is the perfect matchmaking. Matchmaking is an artform and everyone who has fought (well nearly everyone , youll always get some grumpy sods) has always wanted to return to fight again.
They all know i am honest with fighters records and wont stitch anyone up unlike many other promoters who i wont name
The travellin fighters also liked the way i kept in constant contact with all of them and kept them updated if there was a change of opponent.

Exactly, Fahred could have quite easily put me against someone at 70KG who had a ton of experience and told me he was rubbish... I turn up and get my ass kicked. However, three possible opponents were discussed and between us the 'best match' was made.
I liked that, I hate the whole 'you will fight X because I said so, you dont like it dont fight at my show' ... I've had a bad experience with that lately (MMA show) and it was very refreshing to be involved in a show that was so well managed in terms of match-ups.
In combat sports you can't expect to 'choose' your opponents, but you should be allowed some input

Very much so, other shows I have fought on (MMA) I get a phone call 2 weeks before the show saying 'you not injured are you? Still OK to fight? ... Good' and that would be that.
With Chief Kicker here I was getting regular phone calls to make sure i was training properly and offering good advice on my diet / training (example I was told to keep my hands high and tight against a technical kicker like Safa - which worked out well... I took no damage).

Other points:
1. I can't wait to fight again in your future shows
2. I want a rematch!!!

Thank you Aplin , to hear feedback like that makes it more worth the while to put these shows on as then everyone is a winner.
Both fighters benefit from having had a good , fair well matched fight , the spectators dont see "one sided bull****" and everyone is happy with each other.
Aplin you are more than welcome at our shows anytime! Full respect to you and your team!

Once again it will be great to have you on the next show you are available for.
Rematch: Will all depend on Safa , how he is training and all the rest. As i had mentioned earlier during match making Safa can be very hit and miss with his training. You will most likely get a rematch eventually, but who knows WHEN that will be. LOL
Im not going to avoid that rematch dont worry it will have to come up in the end i suppose.
Question is :
1. Can we get Safa in the gym enough?
2. What time of year (Example= Ramadan is a No-no LOL)

Yeah, agreed on that... I got told my a certain MMA promoter during my first MMA fight:
'You both have simular backgrounds and experience'
Funny that... seeing as he'd had two Thai fights and 3 MMA fights... been training 4 years, I'd had no fights and training 8 months!!! lol.
Good, good... Glad I'll get the re-match, I don't care when, how, where... Long as 'one day' I'm happy I need to sort my cardio out too, I've been doing too much 5 minute round training and long distance training. I really couldn't adpat to the 1.5 minute rounds that demanded that extra expendature of energy... short rounds, but the pace you need to work at is something I hadn't trained for... I'd been training for MMA, not kickboxing!!! Hopefully my 6 months in Thailand will do me good (leave 29th March - think DVD be done by then? Safa!!!)
Oh... I can't believe I didn't head up Brian Ingles gym whilst I was up Sheffield, was gutted when I though about that... seeing as I'm probably Naz's biggest fan and have always wanted to go see Brians gym with the lines and circles - ever been there Farhed?

Yeah, an easy fight is pointless, worthless and more often than not will do more harm than good... leading you into a faulse sense of security next time round. Exact same if you have a fight that is too difficult, that you stand no chance in winning... you get banged up, hurt, lose confidence for next time round.
Much better to have a difficult match that will push you, test you and take you all the way. You learn more from it, you find your weaknesses, you find your strengths and you know what to work on next time. The end of the day it is all about learning and gaining confidence / croud experience at a novice level, get in there, enjoy it, learn what you can and don't get hurt. Take this to your next fight and you've achieved what you set out to do.
If you and the croud leave happy it is job done for both you and the promotor... I found a lot of things I need to work on against Safa and learnt a lot. That's why I wasn't too upset with losing... Oh, that and I got a nice trophy also...

Brent,
Thank you and also to you too Aplin for the kind comments.
The next show will be in June. I hope to see you on the show Brent , this time your opponent will be much harder! LOL You have been warned!!!
Isnt it interesting that its fighters from out of town that are fighting on our shows and bar AFK and SDF, where on earth are all the other sheffield clubs?
Nice one for the feedback.
Farhad
