I like to take two of the rungs out of its little wheel so that when it gets a bit of a head of steam up when it's running on the wheel it suddenly trips and falls softly into the hay. It annoys the hamster but doesn't really harm it physically. What's yours?

I particularly like to put in a really attractive stuffed, dead, hamster of the opposite sex and watch it make it's little hamster moves to no avail.

You people are mean!!
By the way my hamster has a plastic cage, and she's driving us mad by scratching like mad in one corner of the cage. Any idea how to stop her?

Really firmly wedge his/her favorite food treat into the bars so it grabs at it with it's 'hands'/teeth and try as it might.... it still can't get it. Even better is to waft the treat in front of it and lead the hamster up to the bars in the 'roof' of the cage - a section with no floor immediately underneath it. That's funny, watching them climb along inside of the top of the cage Spiderman or Mission Impossible stylee, only to think they've got the treat but then they fall down during their attempts to free the treat... and then try again.... and again... :evil laugh:
Obviously don't do this in a cage so high they'd hurt themselves.

Why is it that hamsters have unusually large bums? That annoys me, never mind the critter itself
