I have now managed to remove Brave Sentry spyware from my PC but windows will not open properly, it goes onto the screen asking if iI want to open in safe mode etc, but when I attempt to open it goes off again. When it eventually opens some of the windows features won't work, e.g can't change background. I can't relaod Windows as I don't have the disc, or the system restore disc. I can't use system restore in windows as I must have accidently turned it off sometime and it will only go back 1 week after the problems started. Any ideas?

Seconded. Either way I can think of to sort it would need the Windows CD.

Either...

Start -> Run -> sfc

...which'd check all system files & restore them from originals if necessary. Handy if any malware has overwritten anything.

Or re-install...
