Jamie proposed on 2nd Jan (in meadowhall - how romantic) We've just had a baby boy who's now 5 weeks old so dont want to do the whole big church wedding etc, we've booked town hall for 22nd march - this year (i dont hang about ) We're on a budget and have are just inviting a few family and friends but are planning on having a huge party the week after for everyone to come and celebrate with us. Just wondered if anyone had got any ideas on the party venue, where to go for a meal after the wedding, little things to make the day extra special etc.
All ideas appreciated!!

Not sure of venue for everyone but if going for a meal with a few people after the wedding try Artisan who made a wedding day very special for some family members of ours who sloped off for a quiet do....

We had a party for everyone after we came back from Vegas where we got married. We had our party at Dam House who were very good. If you are having a buffet the room hire is free. There are different buffets to suit all budgets. You don't have to have the buffet, but if not you have to pay for the room hire. They also have a resident DJ, which you can hire too for the evening, or you can provide your own music. They were very accommodating with us, let us do more or less what ever we wanted.

Hope this helps.

Oh and Congratulations!
