Have you tried contacting your former school? They might be able to help and/or give you a contact.

I imagine it depends how long ago you took the exams....peaches probably has the best idea, but I know when I lost my A-Level results a few months after I had collected them( ) I contacted my college and they arranged for another copy to be sent to them.

I think it has to be organised through you old school I lost a couple of mine and the schoool typed me a letter, which the Uni accepted. But that was a while ago and I am not sure that with the advances in technology a letter would be accceptable now.

Whilst on this subject.. I got a letter from school saying my GCSE certs where in school for pick-up on a certain day. I got the letter on 28th Dec, and the date for my certs to be picked up was on october! (Lost in post...I presume) But does anyone know the number for wisewood and if they're back at school yet? So I can ring and get my certs. Thank you!

No you're right, my Uni wouldn't take a letter from the college either, had to be the actual statement of results

I've always wondered that, I would have a problem though if I wanted my results as the school has now been pulled down.
Saying that I took quite a few computer exams some time ago (OCR or RSA something like that). Wonder how I would go by getting copies of them

You need to write to the exam board with your name, address, subjects, level, year taken and school or other body which registered you for the exams. The exam boards keep this info far longer than you'd think because of its importance. If the school is closed try the Council's Education Department which needs to keep this sort of information somewhere. When I lost my M.Sc certificate, I contacted my institution which was able to issue a statement confirming my qualifications - the certificate was no longer available because the exam board had ceased to exist.
