Loads of my friends and family get up really early on boxing day and go shopping for the sales. Is there only me who really cant stand sales! I hate it when I go into shops and everything is all over and they just shove all different clothes on rails.

I would rather walk into a shop and see everything in order and pay full price lol

It's not just sales for me- I hate going shopping most of the time and will avoid going shopping wherever possible.

I'd rather browse online in my own time and have them bring it to me.

I don't do high street sales shopping. They're generally utterly chaotic and stocked with nothing but tat that's been gathering dust in the shops' attics for the last six months. I usually have an idea of exactly what I'm looking for when I go clothes shopping, so the idea of mindlessly rummaging through rack after rack of rubbish amidst the frenzied crowds fills me with horror.

I browse the online sales though; for some reason the web sites show the stuff that you'd actually want to buy, and I usually manage to pick up something of interest. I've just bought my annual little black dress for £50 off - bargain!

The LAST thing I want to do after Christmas is shop, sales or not!

I much prefer to do other things early in a morning. Shopping isn't one of those things.

Me too! It is mainly just Sales in department stores and clothes stroes I can't stand. I hate seeing all those clothes rammed onto bars, muddled up, people everywhere. I find it hard to shop for clothes anyway and always have to try on before I buy, and rarely find stuff I like. I only got in the doorways of H&M and New Look at Meadowhall today and walked straight back out.

I agree totally .. never go to the sales, because what's the point, if there was something I really wanted I would have got it at the tie.

And why don't women understand the concept of sales? It's only a bargain if it's something you actually need!

If you buy a dress you didn't really need for £40 because it's reduced from £100, you haven't saved £60, you've just wasted £40!

I can't stand the pushing and shoving. What bugs me is that the news and everything is crammed full of stuff about Sales so they make you feel as though you're going to miss out on something. So you go and get your bargains after a scrum and a fight.

But then you sit and think "Did I actually want that stuff?" Like I'll see stuff reduced to half price that's really cute for the nipper, buy it, and then wonder why I did because he's got that much stuff already he can't wear it all! So I might have saved £4, but really I've wasted £4!

So all it is is an excuse to over-indulge unless there was something you would pay full price for in normal circumstances.

I dont see the point in the sales... I mean, people just shop for the sake of shopping and then say stuff like "I've saved £100 on this item". Thing is, unless that item is essential then they are out of pocket a not saving themselves any money whatsoever.
