So the Magpies are up against the basement and cut adrift Rams, with a goal difference of -33 going into today's match. And - I will say this only once - Derby are 1-0 up surprise surprise at the time of writing - Barnes scoring after 6 minutes.
I wonder what the boo decibel count will be if Derby are still in front at half time. Perhaps enough to drown out a pneumatic drill.

Viduka's scored on 27 minutes, so we might be relieved of the half time boos.

I remember Blades winning there at this time of the year, last season, but were still relegated. Despite what Allardyce's 'marras' keep saying in his defence the whole set-up is a mess. Butt, Smith and Barton- what a delightful trio!
I hear the Derby supporters singing; "Can we play you every week?", as the 'double' beckons.

It shouldn't get Allardyce off the hook - resoundly booed off. In 10th position so what does it say about teams below them? I think Derby should have had a late penalty.
I used the phrase earlier, "throwing money at it" and Newcastle have certainly done that over the years. Even in the better days of Keegan, he squandered cash as he repeatedly did at City!

I hope it does, i think it's astonishing the guys under pressure. Personally I think it's another example of player power as they are in control.

Nah, the players do as he says and follow his tacticts. They also play in the positions the manager asks them too which is a major problem at Newcastle - he plays too many players in positions they are not used to!

True, but they can dictate hoe they'll play and there has been some coverage on the unrest at the club. He needs time and patience (which you generally dont get)

The reason Derby didn't get a late penalty is because the referee is a bottler and was too scared to give it in front of 50,000 Geordies.

Plus the fact that it wasn't a penalty and the person that was 'fouled' didn't appeal at all.
