Don't think you can generalise too much. I wear a Livestrong band, and without going into the circumstances it's not for poser value.

Not sure how political correctness fits into this - have you been talking to t020?

In Reading, Allsports got totally slated for telling customers that they had to buy something else in the shop to buy an anti racism wrist band. They were just taking advantage of being the only sports shop selling them.

They are everywhere now though, got Poverty ones in Oxfam.

I'm not going to be wearing one though because I think its just a money making thing although its good to be trying to kick Racism out of football. At the end of the day Theirry Henry, etc appeal to younger kids not me, and if some kid at school has one, everyone wants one.

I would rather just give £1.50 to charity and not have one. I don't need multi coloured bracelets round my wrist and a t-shirt encrusted with the word GREENPEACE to show I am a charitable person!

If anyone is still looking I was told they are also on the Nike website.

My view is that it doesnt matter who wears them or if if they are trendy or not - if the money goes to reputable charities then we shouldnt be slagging the idea off. I do think the worlds gone mad to about political correctness but I suppose if people feel hurt/aggrieved by it then we have to stamp out the problem be it bullying etc. Society is affected by the media and celebrities, whether you like it or not, so if they can discourage these harmful issues then so be it........
