What's happenning in Sheffield lately?

Every day there seems to be news of another violent act. It's getting really scary!

Man injured in bar room shooting
Masked raiders have shot a man inside a Sheffield public house.
Two men burst into the Sicey Hotel in Shiregreen on Tuesday evening and fired shots towards the bar.

A 34-year-old local man was taken to hospital where his condition on Wednesday was described as stable. His injuries are not life threatening.

The men are thought to have got into a car which drove off towards the Firth Park area. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

I'd like to agree, but like every stylised Hollywood baddy, these particular lowlifes seem to be terrible shots, and end up shooting up the local populace in their completely failed attempts at killing each other.

When your local hoodlums are too inept to even hit each other they can hardly be trusted to finish each other off, eh?

too right spliffmonkey all too often its an innocent member of the public that gets injured or worse.
If you ask me violent crimes, stabbings, and shootings all seem to be on the increase. You dont seem to be able to go out for a pint without some sort of trouble.Saturday nights in town are the worse always seems to be some sort of aggro!I once stepped in to help a young lady whose b/friend was pushing her around and punching her only to be told(by the young lady)
to mind my own **cking business!Charming eh?

And each 'Junky low life' is someone's son / father / brother. They all leave someone grieving.

Hear hear!
I understand reactions like oh some druggie etc etc...... But drugs use can be a reaction to all sorts of problems encountered by certain individuals.None of us know whats round the corner, the most well looked after kids who come from well to do familys with good jobs etc can still be drawn into the drugs scene and end up a 'junky low life' as put in a previous reply to this thread.Look at the amount of celebs that have been drawn into the scene.
anyway back to the thread, from what ive read in the papers etc..the man who was shot was just a regular out having a pint.Hope he's ok.

What amazes me is how these people seem to miss just about every time a gun goes off. I don't think they actually like killing people with guns they just like clipping them. I bet you could start a roaring trade in laser sights.

you know I always used to think 'how rubbish are these gangsters' because they never seemed to hit anyone - that was until I tried firing a gun. Rather difficult, especially with a handgun to actually hit anything.
