i thought this might get your attention , has anyone seen this statue , its when you come out of the asda at handsworth then go down the parkway , its on the lefthand side in the woods , wots it all about , there is even one just off rutland rd , its some kind of dragon with a little baby riding it . or im i just seeing things ?????

Yes I have seen him, you only seem to spot it as a passenger or if you are stuck in a traffic queue.

i seen it on my way back from a nightout and made my friend go and investigate as they said i was seeing things!! i proved them wrong but what a random thing to do!

I'v seen it . It looks great urban legend has it that it's a giant freak that roamed around the woods in the 1800's and use to hunt normal people when alone and kill them with the sleage hammer and eat there brains !

The one off Rutland Road is a hawk of some sort, and a little boy with 'big gloves' ? sitting on his back

i think this sculpture is the best in sheffield.
its the way you dont notice it at first then it makes you jump out of your skin!!
recently its getting to me how many people have vandilised it. the last time i drove past it there were several 'tags' on his chest and some utter fool has painted the hammer red.
grrrrrrrr go and paint on your own stuff you lowlife scum

Is it made of woven willow wands? There's a dragon being made this way in a meadow near to us. Kids can enter through its mouth and play inside - its massive - it's great to see kids being swallowed by a thirty foot dragon! Kiddin'!
