Yes I have seen him, you only seem to spot it as a passenger or if you are stuck in a traffic queue.

I'v seen it . It looks great urban legend has it that it's a giant freak that roamed around the woods in the 1800's and use to hunt normal people when alone and kill them with the sleage hammer and eat there brains !

You'll find at least one thread on here explaining this sculpture.

He is titled "Parkway Man".

Photos of Manufacture.

The one off Rutland Road is a hawk of some sort, and a little boy with 'big gloves' ? sitting on his back

i think this sculpture is the best in sheffield.

its the way you dont notice it at first then it makes you jump out of your skin!!

recently its getting to me how many people have vandilised it. the last time i drove past it there were several 'tags' on his chest and some utter fool has painted the hammer red.

grrrrrrrr go and paint on your own stuff you lowlife scum

Is it made of woven willow wands? There's a dragon being made this way in a meadow near to us. Kids can enter through its mouth and play inside - its massive - it's great to see kids being swallowed by a thirty foot dragon! Kiddin'!
