Hi,

I'm going to attemp laying laminate flooring in the bedroom.

I need underlay i know, could I use the underlay what was used for the carpet????

Not really but its pretty cheap to buy.

I'm not a flooring fitter but I would doubt it - too bouncy.

From the couple of times I've laid laminate, once had like a high density cardboard underlay and the other had a very thin foam underlay.

Wickes have this laminate underlay stuff that looks like 10mm thick fuzzy felt. Its rigid an easy to cut.
Its about 1 foot by 2 foot. I used it to create a giant notice board on me hall wall though!

we laid ours straight over the top of our old underlay and it worked fine, not bouncy at all.
