Has anyone else experienced slow post this year. Ones I have recieved seem to have taken ages with either first or second class stamps and although I don't normally ask who Iv'e sent them to if they've recieved mine, I feel I have to this time.
I posted to Japan and Luxembourg a week ago yesterday...over the counter, having got them weighed etc. and still not delivered yet.
My brother in Sheffield, his took 4 days from here even.
Has anyone else noticed this.

Worryingly, my Certificate of Motor Insurance has been 'arriving' for the last 10 days. I am assured it's been sent though so hopefully I won't crash or anything

Yep, same here.
We got a load of parcels on Sunday the 9th December that had the 26th November date on them. I think they'd been stock piling them.
I have rung and complained twice and it does seem to get things moving.
You can get the customer 'services' number from the Royal Mail website.
The woman I spoke to there said it sounded like they had got a problem as they shouldn't have been delivering on a Sunday.
If they get enough people complaining then it might prompt some changes, or, as my hubby says, it could get our parcels kicked around the sorting office.

Thanks for the replies and it does make me feel a bit better knowing that it's not just me being paranoid.
I got some cards really early in December and thought what the. .......then they stopped and now when I get them, I just have to check the dates....
Oh well lets hope they get their fingers out and don't leave us too disappointed hey?

worry not, it will all be delivered on Christmas Eve, if not that will be rank bad luck. We just don't seem to have had a problem at all in Totters, stuff off the internet has taken 3 days at the latest.

Last date for posting 1st class on Thursday isn't it? They did actually used to deliver on Sundays in the run up to Christmas didn't they, now they don't even collect on Sundays...here they don't anyway.
Thinking about it, I just might send myself one tomorrow as a test....

I'm waiting for an exam result that should have arrived on the 14th. Nothing like prolonging the agony . . . .
