hi.
does anyone know what high green is like around jeffcock road area. near mortomley park and the primary school?.
i am thinking of moving

It's a bit strange up there. Not quite Barnsley and too far away from Sheffield. Too many sideburns and cloth caps for me.

Hi.

I was brought up in High Green. I lived their all my life until I moved on 3 years ago. I love the place. I lived on Charlton Brook and my parents still live there. The shops on Greengate lane are not a no go area, ok kids hang around the shops at night some times but they dont pose a threat (not that i've experienced anyway) If you stay away from near the flats then its fine. There are loads of parks, good local amenities, good for buses and the night life in Chapeltown is loads better sinse Escape opened. I would move back to High Green (the bottom end) to raise a family one day, no problem.
