Xbox 360 live - Help needed please!

Right, I have just 'set up' my xbox 360 online. I have signed into xbox.com and have created a windows live ID and an online gametag 'bearless'.

This is where I get confused.

I couldn't recover my existing gametag 'Paul' which I use to play all my games and on which I have accumulated many points/achievements because it needed bank details confirmation even thoug ive never told xbox my details so i created a new gametag 'bearless' so it would match the other i registered on teh net with.

Now im left with two gametags - One which I have all my points on but can't play on xbox live/marketplace etc and teh other with no points or history but access to xbox live.

All I want to do is Play with the one gametag 'Paul' online and off so my question to you is how do i recover my current gametag so i can make an xbox live account for that too?

If this is not possible then is there any way I can transfer points to teh new gametag which works online?

I had that issue when I signed up to Live. It made me start from scratch on Halo 3 as well!

What did you do about it? surely there must be a way around it. If i have to start Skate from scratch im taking a week off work..

had a similar problem, call the freephone number for xbox live and they can help you.
but you might not get n cod4 as the servers are falling under the popularity.

Yeah im sorted now thanks. Had a very interesting conversation with the guy on the freephone number before finally working it out myself

Had a bit of cod4 action last night but yeah ther servers were being pretty rubbish

BTW someone PM'd me about having the same problem. I must apologise whoever you are cos think I deleted your message by accident so can't reply. Just sign in with your offline profile and sign up to live by creating a gametag. U might need to set up a new e-mail account first though...

P.s my gamertag is 'Beared'
