Would they have had ANY legal bloodline to the throne?
It is an oft quoted conspiracy theory that Diana was bumped off to prevent a Muslim claimant to the throne, but could this ever have really happened? Moreover, these are not the days of Henry the eighth. The royals have no de facto power at all, so even in the unlikely scenario that a Muslim child (assuming he actually became a Muslim and not a hard drinking, cash draining, wildlife massacring waste of space like his half brothers) became king or queen of Britain, then so what? They couldn't wield any real power, and if the authorities are worried the ruler of our country could have been a dogmatic despot, then they are well versed for such idiosyncrasies by the current has-bean regime.
Furthermore, and perhaps most importantly, if these mythical powers that be were so concerned by an Islamic power ascending the nation, then why allow Muslim MPs (or indeed Lords in Lord Ahmed's case) who surely have far more tangible power than someone who lives in a castle and waves for a living.
Then again, maybe I am being disingenuous. As one taxi driver so eloquently put it, “they done it cos they don’t want a Paki on the throne”
Ah, these enlightened times we live in.

No. Were Charles to die, the the line of succession would pass to William, and certainly not to Diana had she survived.

Who is next in line after William and Harry? Could it / would it ever be a half brother, or would the candidate need bluer blood than that?

Without Charles' bloodline, any other children Diana produced would just be some neurotic slapper's brats.
Next in line after William and Harry would be HRH Prince Andrew.

She'd had her HRH removed, so she wasn't even royal in the technical sense. The royal line is through Charles, so any further kids she had would have no claim. I believe the next in line after William and Harry are Andrew then Beatrice and Eugenie.

I think I may be in line for the throne I dont know what number though.I was told my great great grandfather once swept the horse droppings up after one of the old kings horse which was consequently used as manure on their rhubarb patch which was eaten my my fore fathers as kids, apparently the afore mentioned king was a bit loopy and had adopted said horse as one of his legal heirs therefore through eating the rhubarb the horses',legal heir, dna was passed thrrough my family until I came along therefore making me a valid succesor to the throne...allegedly

As was said before, the bloodline from Charles would be the important factor, and if his offspring were to cark it, the line from the current incumbent takes precedence, so it would go to Andrew.
Now, I'm far from a monarchist, but I bet the Royal(TM) feasts would be more of a laugh with King Andy.
I can actually see "Carry On Henry" in my mind just now ........

Diana had no personal claim to the throne. She was descended from two kings (James II and Charles II), but only through illegitimate children (which automatically excludes you from succession). Even if these ancestors had be legitimate, she would have been way down the list of succession, for a start descendents of Queen Victoria make up the first 490 places in the line of succession!
