Hi

I'm thinking about going on one of the intensive plastering short courses at quick-step construction and wanted to know if anyone had been on this course/similar course and what their experience of it was and if they would recommend it.

The reason I am going on the course is I would like to change my career. From reading up on these courses/college courses/speaking to people in the trade it seems that the best way to learn is to do an apprenticeship or go to college for 2 years. However as I am 25 I believe I am too old to be an apprentice and giving up work for 2 years to study at college is financially impossible so this seems to be my only option of learning to be a plasterer (unless anyone can point me in a better direction!).

I know the course will only be able to teach me the basics and as such I would also like to know if there are any plasterers/plastering companies out there who would be prepared to employ me (on a part time and unpaid basis) to allow me to further my knowledge.

Many Thanks
