Hey guys

My contract doesnt run out till next year, but when i took the contract out phones 4 u said they will be buy me out after 12 months (18 month contract), so i went in yesterday and was told they can buy me out now, im only on month 11, so was wandering what they mean by this, will they take the phone off me or just finish my contract so i can buy another contract with a new phone??

Does any1 know if phones 4 u, have got any good deals on at the mo, also would carphone warehouse buy me out too??

They basically pay off the rest of the contract, so you're done with it. But bear in mind that any deal you might have got when you took out this contract (i.e I got £100 cashback with my P4U deal) won't be repeated. They will only give you money off the end of your current one, and the new one will be full price again. Not a problem if you can find a good deal to suit you, but just something to think about.

I don't know about Carphone Warehouse, but presumably if they do buy you out, it'll be similar conditions to P4U, you have to take out your new contract with them.

So they wont give me any deal which invloves cashback?? they told me when i first got my contract that they will give me any new deal, which is out at the time!!
do they deal with cancelling my current contract or does that still run its course, they just pay me off, so i can carry on paying my line rental?

why dont you ask them to explain it fully to you then you can judge which is best option!

im a busy man, so thought i would ask here first... also wanted to know if anyone on here has done this.

I have, when I had 3 months left on my old contract. They gave me a cash sum to cover the rest of my contract, which then continued to run until I cancelled it. I then took out a new contract as a new customer on another network. I don't know about offers but I would expect cashback to not be valid on this as essentially they're already giving you cashback by paying off your other contract.
