Good afternoon I recently went for a job interview and was offered a position at £6 per hour .... I have today, received a letter through the post stating this:
Basic Pay: A rate of £6 per hour inclusive of holiday pay (i.e. £5.22 per hour plus £0.78 holiday pay) payable monthly.
Puzzled .. does this mean when I have a holiday I wont get paid because it is being paid immediately? Also .. does this mean I actually am earning £5.22 per hour? (Which is under the minimum wage?)

I once worked through an agency and got paid this way - they include holiday pay in your normal wage because you can leave at short notice - that way they don't then "owe" you any holiday or extra pay. If you carry on working for this agency, and take for example 2 weeks holiday, you won't get paid for that period. Pretty rubbish when you've got bills to pay etc.
Unless it's short term work, I would avoid.

Thank You ... I phoned ACAS last night and they told me that "rolling up" holidays like this, is actually illegal .. and the basic pay they are offering is illegal too.
