Hi

Whilst picking our youngest daughter(5mths) up from the cot, my girlfriend seems to have 'pulled' her shoulder and right arm, like cramp?

What tablets and/or medicine can she take whilst breastfeeding? She's naturally quite eager to get this resolved, as I'm not always there to help.

Thanks

I think paracetamol is okay, might be a good idea to get a heat or cold rub cream and then she can just massage it into the sore area.

Best to check with a pharmacist, she could always give Boots a ring.

Thanks Nirvanaliz

She describes it as 'being paralysed' on her right side, but I'll get her to ring Boots, or NHS Direct.

Cheers

i don't know what is appropriate, but just be aware that medicines that you rub on (like ibuprofen gel) will still get into the milk the same as tablets would. hopefully boots can sort her out though.
