Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws says he has made bids for an unnamed striker, and a midfielder from abroad.
"I have made an offer for a striker and I'm now waiting to hear back from his club to see if we've been successful," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.

I agree.

Priority signings for me, should be :

1.) Centre-back to pair with Wood.
2.) Left-back to replace Gilbert / Spurr.
3.) Left-winger to compete with Small.
4.) Striker.

We've got Johnson and Small that can play upfront, so we're not in any immediate danger in my opinion.

For me, Spurr will never make a left-back, positionally woeful over there.

In an ideal world for me, it'd be :

-------------Grant------------

Simek---Sodje---Wood---(LB*)

JJ---Whelan---Watson---(LW*)

-(Burton/Tudgay/Jeffers/Euell)-

* Brand new signings.

Bench : Burch, (*CB), Folly, Small, (Burton/Tudgay/Jeffers/Euell)
